In February 2013, the 6th and 7th Floors were poured, maintaining the 7 day deck cycle. The exterior manlift is now operational which allows the work crews to travel vertically through the tower. The tower crane has been successfully recertified by OSHA, this is a requirement every 6 months. The masons have completed all of the concrete masonry units (CMU) in the basement; they are now working on the 1st Floor interior and exterior walls. SODO Builders is making a large push for early completion of the Department of Water & Power (DWP) vault, to accommodate DWP, as they requested access to begin their portion of work earlier than originally scheduled. The fire pumps have been placed in the Fire Pump Room and the water tank is currently being waterproofed. Horizontal and vertical tubes in the elevator shaft are continuous within the core. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) subcontractor work on 2nd Floor overhead (OH) is in full force and the subcontractors are working well together as a team. MEP risers are continuing vertically through the tower on Floors 3, 4, and 5. The drywall subcontractor has begun to frame shafts and corridor walls on Floors 3 and 4. There have been many meetings with the POD design and manufacturing team along with visits to the manufacturing plant to verify production and quality. The PODs will begin delivery and installation in March 2013 along with the start of the exterior precast panel installation.
